Apple Pork Chops
From Marie @ all recipes
Note: all of my recipes are simply a list of ingredients with what to do with them written beside the ingredient. For this recipe I am going to follow this pattern.
2 tbsp Olive oil/or Canola
1/2 diced onion (about 1/2 cup)
-saute onion in oil and set aside.
4 pork chops
-season with salt and pepper, then brown in frying pan used for saute-ing the onions. Lay into bottom of 8 x 12 oven safe pan and scrape drippings from frying pan into the same dish.
2 apples, pared, sliced and diced
-layer over the apples, with the onions mixed in.
Mix in Tupperware Quick Shake (or whatever):
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground mustard powder
pinch ground cloves
3/4 cup hot (ish) water
-mix and then pour over the above and bake. Note: Hot water in a Quick shake equals pressure and an explosion. Still I insist on doing this… a few shakes, open lid to relieve pressure and repeat until mixed! Do NOT keep on shaking or ka-boom!
Temperature: 375 degrees for 30 – 45 minutes. Note: it is done when the pork chops test ready. Use whatever method you choose!
